In my book, effective copywriting is all about simplicity and attention to detail. No matter whether it’s web or online copywriting, direct mail or advertising - short words, short sentences and short paragraphs are the order of the day. In other words, I try to write as you and I speak. Simplicity is one side of the coin: the other is much more difficult to explain, but here's what I'm getting at...
A good copywriter skirts clear of ambiguities, repetition and ill-founded assumptions; thoughts link smoothly and naturally together and all grammatical hurdles are demolished. Where there are opportunities to inject pace and personality, they should not be squandered. And once all that's been done and dealt with, what's been written gets a final, ultra-attentive, ever-so-sensitive polish. And then another. And then one more.

It has been said that it takes five hundred small details to make one favourable impression. For me, that sums up what copywriting is all about.
